My Mind Wanders Free

My Mind Wanders Free

In a world bound by rules
Forced to trudge down a paved path
More like laws, not guidelines but,
My mind still wanders free.

Where all minds have stopped thinking
No sign of creativity.
Entire generations slaves of the tube
But my mind still wanders free.

Someone commanding others' thoughts
But my thoughts are mine only
I'm the ruler of my world, cos
My mind still wanders free.

Fickle public opinion
Swayed by the media easily.
Where seeing is believing
My mind still wanders free.

Now these chains have become our crutches
Created by ourselves, the irony
My mind still shatters all boundaries, cos
My mind still wanders free.
