Engineering

My eyelids heavy as lead.
A great turmoil in my head.
Extracting metals from grit.
Imperfections, deformations and bullshit.

How an interatomic plane slips.
Teachers proving ignorance is bliss.
Students caged metaphorically in class.
The teacher's facade, a smile of glass.

A single question and the glass could break.
The professor's entire reputation at stake.
So punish the maggots! That's their plan!
Suppress the devils, as much as they can.

With excellent "oration skills."
Armed with knowledge that could kill.
Piercing our passions with ignorant shards.
Shattering our hopes, these bastards!

Mechanically, every day, the lectures go on.
Shrill as a flute, to heavy as a trombone.
Who gives a damn whether we get it or not.
Silence the lambs, giving it all they've got.
